ASHLAND, Va.—The Southern Virginia University men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the year at Randolph-Macon College on Tuesday falling 2-7 to the Yellow Jackets.

Southern Virginia (8-1) trailed 1-2 after doubles play with Randolph-Macon (4-6) and then lost five of six singles matches to the Yellow Jackets.

Tyler Clark (Rocklin, Calif.) and Adam Blocher (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) were the only Knights to record a doubles win at Randolph-Macon prevailing 8-2 in the second-seeded doubles match.

Clark then went on to record Southern Virginia's only singles victory of the day winning in straight sets (7-5, 6-2) at the No. 2 spot as the freshman continued his stellar season climbing to a team-best 8-1 in singles competition on the year.

Southern Virginia has one day off before traveling to Shenandoah University on Thursday, Mar. 29 for a match with the Hornets.
