Brennan Hand is a second-year assistant coach for the Southern Virginia University men’s soccer team.

In Hand's first season with the Knights, men's soccer finished with a 10-7 record—the program's highest win total since the 2003 campaign.

Prior to Southern Virginia, Hand served as assistant boy’s soccer coach at Amherst County High School during the 2012 season.

A native of Buena Vista, Hand was a standout soccer player at Parry McCluer High School where he earned all-district honors and was the team captain in 2007.

Hand has a bachelor’s degree in recreation management and is currently working on a master’s degree in sports administration from Liberty University. He is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association and currently holds a United States Soccer Federation national "E" license.

Hand resides in Buena Vista.
