Brennan Hand is a third-year assistant coach for the Southern Virginia University men’s soccer team.

In Hand's first season with the Knights in 2012, men's soccer finished with a 10-7 record — the program's highest win total since 2003.

He was promoted as head coach of the Heritage High School (Lynchburg, Va.) varsity girls soccer team in July 2014 after serving as an assistant there in 2013. Before Heritage, Hand served as an assistant boys soccer coach at Amherst County High School for the 2012 season.

A native of Buena Vista, Hand was a standout soccer player at Parry McCluer High School where he earned all-district honors and was the team captain in 2007.

Hand earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation management and is currently working on a master’s degree in sports administration from Liberty University. He is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and holds a United States Soccer Federation national "E" license. He is currently in the process of earning his USSF "D" license.

Hand and his wife, Danielle, reside in Lynchburg, Va.
