Maroons Too Much for Knights

SALEM, Va. — The Southern Virginia University men's soccer team struggled on Wednesday evening in their match against Roanoke College, losing 12-0.

The Maroons (4-2) scored five goals in the first half, giving them the 5-0 advantage. The Knights (0-7) were unable to get a shot in the first half.

The second half followed similarly to the first half, where the Maroons built on their already commanding lead, scoring seven more goals, making the final score 12-0.

The Maroons led the Knights in shots 28-2 and corner kicks 6-0. The lone shot on goal for Southern Virginia came in the second half from Jordi Gibbons.

The Knights play next on the road Wednesday, Sept. 26 against Hood College at 7:00 p.m.
