WASHINGTON, D.C. — In the team's final game of the year, the Southern Virginia men's soccer team fell to non-conference foe Gallaudet University on Thursday by a score of 2-1.

The Knights (4-12) scored first in the 19th minute when senior Marrott Weekes put a shot just over the keeper's head off assists from brothers Gregg and Nathan Allen. The Bison (5-12) scored the equalizer just three minutes later to make the score 1-1. No more goals were scored until a Knights' foul in the box awarded the Bison a penalty kick, which they converted and was ultimately the winning goal.

Despite about even scoring opportunities in the first half, Southern Virginia was outshot in the second half by seven. The Bison also took five more corner kicks in the match. Weekes led the Knights with four shots, while midfielder Gregg Allen tallied three.

Senior Colin Flynn started the game in goal for the Knights, finishing with five saves. Christopher Fly took over in the second half, recording three saves in the loss.
