BUENA VISTA, Va. — On a rainy night at Knights Stadium, the Southern Virginia University men's soccer team lost a tough game 7-0 to Washington & Lee University.

The Generals (4-0-1) took control of the match early with two goals in the first ten minutes and added another before halftime. The Knights (1-4) were unable to improve on their first-half performance, giving up four more goals before the game was over.

The Knights took six shots in the match, with Gregg Allen and Marrott Weekes each putting one on frame. The Generals took 13 corner kicks, while the Knights were able to manage only four.

In goal for Southern Virginia was senior Colin Flynn who, despite picking up the loss, had several impressive saves. He finished with nine on the game.

The Knights look to turn it around on Friday as they face off against Emory & Henry College in Emory, Va. The match is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m.
