Danneman Earns VaSID All-State Second Team Honors

BUENA VISTA, Va. — The Virginia Sports Information Director's today announced the 2018-19 All-State Men's Lacrosse team, naming Southern Virginia University's Zach Danneman to the All-State Second Team.

Danneman last month earn All-CAC First Team honors after leading the CAC in goals with 77 a new program record and second in points with another school record of 96 points.

The Acworth, Georgia, native added to his historic sophomore season finishing fourth in Division III in goals per game at a 4.28 clip and 17th in points per game with 5.33. This season, Danneman tallied eight or more points in six games throughout the regular season while scoring a career-high seven goals five times on the year.

He becomes the second member of the men's lacrosse program to earn a VaSID All-State honor following Shawn Lamb's VaSID All-State Second Team award last season.
