Honors Continue for Shawn Lamb, Named to VaSID All-State Second Team

BUENA VISTA, Va. — The Virginia Sports Information Directors announced the 2017-18 All-State Men's Lacrosse team, naming Southern Virginia University's Shawn Lamb to the All-State second team.

Lamb was also named to the All-CAC first team for leading the Capital Athletic Conference in points (goals & assists) with 46 goals and 41 assists.  

Last season's CAC Rookie of the year, Lamb led the conference with 155 shots. He recorded a goal or assist in every game this season, including nine games with three or more goals. Lamb had his season-high six goals in the final regular-season win at Mary Washington. In a non-conference win over Cazenovia, he recorded a career-high eight assists.

Shawn becomes the first member of the men's lacrosse program to earn a VaSID All-State honor.

VaSID names 27 all-state teams in 15 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a University or conference in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
