About the Knights

Southern Virginia is in its second year as a provisional NCAA program, and in its first season of Capital Athletic Conference play. The Knights face Frostburg State on the heels of a 27-2 defeat at the hands of No. 16 York (Pa.).

Freshman Nash Wilkey leads Southern Virginia with 15 goals, while fellow freshman Mike Bangerter leads the team with five assists. Goalkeeper Tyler Cox has compiled 112 saves in nine starts for the Knights. Senior Thomas Canady and freshman Derek Purvis lead the team on defense.

About the Bobcats

Frostburg State (10-3) is led by fourth-year head coach Tommy Pearce, and is in the midst of the most successful season in program history. The Bobcats have notched strong victories over CAC members Marymount and Christopher Newport. Their three losses came against No. 5 Washington College, No. 7 Salisbury, and No. 16 York.

The Bobcats are led by senior attackman Ryan Serio, who leads the team with 36 goals on the season. Team captain Devin Colegrove leads Frostburg with 23 assists, while sophomore goalkeeper Tyler Haines leads the team with 133 saves on the season.
