About the Knights

Southern Virginia enters its second Capital Athletic Conference contest coming off a 12-8 defeat at the hands of Beloit College. The Knights put together their best performance of the season, scoring a season-high eight goals while limiting Beloit to 12 goals, the lowest amount allowed for an opponent this season.

Garrett Maw, Nash Wilkey and Mike Bangerter continue to be scoring threats for Southern Virginia as they scored two goals apiece against the Bucs. Ciaran Giroux and Cody Pennington added one goal apiece. Maw, Bangerter and Jason Wynne were all credited with assists. Goalkeeper Tyler Cox has compiled 42 saves in his four starts for the Knights.

About the Saints

Marymount (5-1) is off to its best start in program history with its only loss coming against an impressive Kean College program. The Saints entered the season ranked eighth of nine teams in the CAC. Marymount finished 7-7 overall and 0-6 in conference play last season.

Marymount is led by standout goalie Derek DiGiovanni, who recently earned the CAC Player of the Week honor. Freshman Chad Niergarth leads the Saints with 10 goals while veterans Nico Burns and Connor Kellogg have nine goals apiece.
