Ouimette and Hardy Finish 1,2 at Shenandoah Spring Invitational

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — The Southern Virginia University men's golf team wrapped up the final round at the Shenandoah Spring Invitational with Nate Ouimette earning the individual victory and a second-place team finish.

Ouimette headed into the final round tied for third after shooting a 75 in his first round. His final round was the lowest of any individual in the tournament scoring a 71 for a final score of 146 to secure a first-place finish.

Coulson Hardy ended the first round tied atop the leaderboard with a score of 74 but finished with a 75 for the final round for a final score of 149 earning a second place finish.

Cale Hansen after two rounds finished with a top-five finish claiming the fifth-place spot after shooting an 80 for his final round. Tad Honeycutt closed out the Knights' top-four placing 13th.

The host, Shenandoah University took home the team title after shooting a combined score of 617.

Southern Virginia competes next at the Wesley College Golf Tournament at the Maple Dale Country Club Thursday, Mar. 21 in Dover, Delaware.
