Men’s Golf Completes Day One at Emory & Henry Tournament
ABINGDON, Va. — The Southern Virginia University men's golf team sits in fifth place after round one of the Emory & Henry Fall Classic, led by Cameron Speyer and Coulson Hardy who sit at +14 and +15. 
 
"We hit the ball well today on a difficult course," said head coach Blair Garner. "The greens have been fast and there have been some tough pins, but we grinded hard all day." 
 
Emory & Henry's first team sits atop the leaderboard, followed by Virginia Union. The Knights sit one stroke out of fourth place, and three strokes out of third. 
 
In addition to Spyer and Hardy who sit in 15th and 19th place, Dustin Taylor sits in 22nd with a +18 score, Christian Kidd and Andrew Mercer are tied for 30th at 23 over.
