Knights Overpowered Late at Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md.—The Southern Virginia University men's basketball team remains winless in conference play as they fell on Saturday afternoon 84-75 to Salisbury University.

The Knights (4-19, 0-12 CAC) kept the score close in the first half of play, trailing the Sea Gulls (17-6, 7-5 CAC) by only one, 40-39 heading into the locker room.

In the second, Southern Virginia and Salisbury battled back and forth all the way until the 3:16 mark where the game was tied at 71. At that point, the Sea Gulls went on a 13-4 run to end the game, winning 84-75.

Four Knights finished the game in double-figures including Jamier Cross, who scored a game-high 17 points. Jaron Anderson, Alec Johnson and Tyler McCreadie were the other three Knights to post double-digits scoring 13, 12 and 11 points respectively.

The Knights return home to continue conference action against the University of Mary Washington on the 13th of February at 7:30 p.m.
