YORK, Pa. — The Southern Virginia University men's basketball team fell to No. 10 York College of Pennsylvania on Saturday after the Spartans scored 56 points in the second half.
The Knights (9-12, 4-10 CAC) took a 40-37 lead at the half, and even led by 11 at one point. After the intermission, York (19-2, 12-2 CAC) came out firing and shot 60% in the half while draining eight triples. The Knights had one of their best-shooting halves in the second period (56%), but only connected once from downtown.
Justin Prisbrey led the way for the Knights with a 17-point 10-rebound double-double. Jaren Anderson also had 17 points from the bench. Aarun Rumbaugh was the only other Knight in double digits and pulled down nine boards.
Four games remain in the regular season as Southern Virginia heads to Christopher Newport University on Wednesday night.
