Last Meeting

The teams faced off on Jan. 15in Frostburg, Md., with the Bobcats taking the 77-67 win. The Knights started off strong and ended the half up 42-41 but could not keep the momentum and ultimately fell, 77-67.

The Knights earned 26 points off 14 Bobcat turnovers and had 14 second-chance points to the Bobcats'11. The Knights shot 31.5 percent from the field, 24 percent from three-point range and 65.2 percent on free throws. The Bobcats outshot the Knights at 49.2 percent from the field and 35 percent on threes. The Bobcats also out-rebounded the Knights, 50-41.

Three Knights scored in double digits, including Preston Eaton (21), Chris Baker (19) and Kenrick Hart (13). Eaton was 8-19 from the field, 3-8 from the arc and 2-2 on free throws. Baker was 3-3 from the stripe, 2-8 on threes and 8-19 from the field. Hart led the team with seven charity points and was 3-6 from the field. Junior guard James Peters led the Bobcats with 26 points and was 11-19 from the field and 4-8 on three-pointers.

About the Knights

Coming off a 74-67 over Penn State Harrisburg, the Knights will look for their first consecutive win since last year as they face Frostburg State Bobcats for a second time this season.

Junior guard Preston Eaton leads the Knights with an average of 16 ppg. He is averaging nearly five rebounds per game and shoots 75.8 percent from the line, 37.9 percent on threes and 40.7 percent from the field.

Junior guard Chris Baker averages 12.6 ppg, has 4.4 rebounds per game and leads the team from the line with 79.6 percent. Freshman guard Michael Price trails right behind Baker with a 78 percent free-throw average and leads the team with 35 steals, averaging 7.7 ppg.

Junior forward Wesley Evans contributes 10.3 ppg and continues to lead the team at 6.4 rebounds per game.

About the Bobcats

The Bobcats are shooting 38 percent from the field, 27.9 percent from three-point range and 59.1-percent from the free-throw line. They average seven steals per game and average 37.7 rebounds per game.

Peters leads the team with an average of 14.2 ppg, shoots 68 percent from the stripe, nearly 40 percent from the three-point range and 45.3 percent from the field.

Junior Jabari Kamau ranks second with 12.9 ppg and first in rebounds with a 7.7 per game average. Sophomore Nick Smoot contributes 10.6 ppg, shoots nearly 62 percent from the free-throw line, 32.8 percent from the arc and 35.1 percent from the field.
