Buena Vista, Va. — All four men's basketball at this weekend's 2011 Knights New Year Classic will be broadcast live via the internet by the Southern Virginia University athletic department in partnership with the Southern Virginia's IT department. Saturday's women's game against The Apprentice School will also be broadcast live.
The 2011 Knights New Year Classic will kick off Friday, Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. when Eastern Mennonite University, the tenth ranked NCAA Division III team in the nation, faces a Penn State–Beaver team that has won three of its last four contests. Following the Eastern Mennonite and Penn State-Beaver game, the Southern Virginia University men's basketball team will square off against Berkeley College at 8 p.m. as the Knights look to push their current winning streak to a program record six games.
Saturday's action will begin at noon with the Southern Virginia University women's team hosting USCAA rival, Apprentice. The 2011 Knights New Year Classic will resume after the women's game with Eastern Mennonite and Berkeley College at 2 p.m. Southern Virginia's men's basketball will cap off the weekend when it hosts Penn-State Beaver at 4 p.m.

8 p.m. – Southern Virginia MBB vs. Berkeley
12 p.m. – Southern Virginia WBB vs. Apprentice
2 p.m. – Eastern Mennonite vs. Berkeley
