Flames Scorch Knights

LYNCHBURG, Va. – With balanced offense and stifling defense, the NCAA Division I Liberty University Flames defeated the visiting Southern Virginia University men's basketball team Thursday night, 82-49.

Five different Liberty players scored in double figures as the Flames shot 47 percent from the field and 54 percent from three-point range. Southern Virginia struggled offensively against Liberty's stingy defense, converting on only 14 of their 48 field goal attempts. Ed Greenhalgh was the only Knight to reach double figures, scoring 11 points while going 4-of-6 from the field.

Men's basketball faces a quick turnaround as it travels to Harrisonburg, Va. on Friday, Nov. 19 for the first game of the EMU Tip-Off Classic against Bridgewater College at 6 p.m.
