Game Notes
Friday night's game will feature the ribbon cutting of Knight Stadium, which will be dedicated on Friday at 11 a.m. University Convocation. The game also marks the final home game of the 2017 campaign and the second time that former Southern Virginia football coach Delane Fitzgerald has brought the Bobcats to Buena Vista, Va.

About the Knights
The Knights are looking for their first NJAC win and to regain momentum after their loss to Salisbury University. During the 42-0 loss, Southern Virginia generated 126 yards of total offense including 102 yards rushing. 

Throughout the season, the Knights have seen a good mix of offensive gains through the air and on the ground. The Knights have averaged 256 yards of offense per game with an average of 9.2 yards per pass attempt and 3.5 yards per rush. 

On the rush, the Knights average 153.1 yards per rush and have accumulated 1072 yards throughout the 2017 campaign.

Simi Moala leads the team with four touchdowns this season and 43.3 yards per game.

Leading the Knight's defense in tackles are No. 24 Mitch Orme and Neil Davis with 37 and 29 tackles, respectively. Davis has also tallied two interceptions during the season.

Southern Virginia Coach Joe DuPaix
This is Coach DuPaix's second season as head coach of Southern Virginia University. Previously, DuPaix was at Brigham Young University (2011-12) as the Cougar's recruiting coordinator and running backs coach. Working under former head coach Bronco Mendenhall, DuPaix was a member of the staff that led the Cougars to an 18-8 overall record which included back-to-back bowl wins.  

Before BYU, DuPaix was a member of the coaching staff at the United States Naval Academy for three years. While there, he coached the slot backs. During his time in Annapolis, the Midshipmen participated in three consecutive bowl games, won two Commander-In-Chief trophies and ranked in the top-ten nationally for rushing offenses each season.

Coach DuPaix is excited to lead the Knights for the second straight year, "I love the way the guys are working and their focus. They are all very committed to the team. For me, it is all about the players."  

About the Bobcats
Frostburg State is now ranked No. 18 in the NCAA Division III rankings. Their lone loss of the season came in overtime at the hands of No. 14 Wesley. In their last game, they defeated Montclair State 62-3 with a total of 518 yards gained on offense.
