Knights Football Recieves Preseason Awards
Aug 20, 2009BUENA VISTA, Va. - Twenty-seven players have been named to the
2009 NAIA Preseason All-Independent Team, including five players
who were 2008 NAIA Postseason All-Independent Team selections. Two
of the twenty-seven were from Southern Virginia:
OL Tyler Card Senior Southern Virginia University Salt Lake City,
Utah
DL Tommy Davidson Sophomore Southern Virginia University Paradise,
Calif.
Twelve additional players were named by coaches for the 2009 NAIA
Independent Newcomers Watch List. Five of the twelve are at
Southern Virginia this year. They are:
QB Josh Barrett Freshman Anderson, Calif. West Valley HS
WR Daniel Bokinsky Freshman Dagsboro, Del. Indian River HS
DB Brandon Seeberger Freshman Forest, Va. Jefferson Forest HS
LB Clark Steele Freshman Lancaster, Calif. Quartz Hill HS
LB Dakota Winsor Freshman West Richland, Wash. Hanford HS
The Knights begin the season at home on august 29th at 7 pm.
