Football to Play Morehead State
BUENA VISTA, Va. - Southern Virginia University Football will
look to rebound from a tough opening loss when they play at
Morehead State Sept. 5 at 7:00 PM.
The game will be a rematch from last season when the Knights
travelled to Morehead, Kentucky to play the Eagles. The Knights
played a hard fought game, but were eventually overcome by the NCAA
Division I-AA, or FCS, team falling 49-6.
This will be the second game for the Knights of the season, after
falling to Concord University last Saturday. The game will be the
opener of the season for the Eagles.
SVU will look to continue their positive offensive effort from
last week, when they racked up 320 yards of total offense.
Quarterback Sam Trulock will be looked to again, to provide the
offensive threats in the air as well as on the ground.
The meeting between the two teams is the second meeting for the
programs.
