Card Named NAIA All-American Honorable Mention

GRAND ISLAND, Ne. Offensive Lineman Tyler Card was recently named to the NAIA Football All-American Team as an Honorable Mention member. The award is another accolade for Card, who is ending his senior year on a very high note.

The teams are comprised of the best football players in the NAIA, as voted by NAIA football coaches and The College Fanz Football Game of the Week broadcast team from the College Fanz Sports Network. Card has already been named to the 2nd Team All-Independent Conference Team, and was a team leader for the Knights.

Card, from Salt Lake City, UT, was a member of the group of players in SVU football history with the most wins. He was a member of the 2007 team which registered the first winning season in program history. He also helped lead an offense that was one of the most prolific in the NAIA in the past three years.

With Card's membership on the team, it represents the third SVU football player named to an All-American team in the past year. McKay Dunn was the first player named after the 2007, and was on the first team. Tye Hiatt was named in the 2008 season to the Honorable Mention list.
