Football Team Announces 2010 Signings

The Southern Virginia Football team has announced new signings for the 2010 team. Head Coach DeLane Fitzgerald and his staff are looking to find the players to help the program continue to grow, and seek a second winning season in program history in 2010. Fitzgerald inked 16-players for the team, and this is in addition to several players who are already here for the spring semester. The recruiting for the Knights is not finished, as coaches still have players targeted to sign over the coming weeks.

"Our football program is very happy to have these 26 (Including current Spring Semester attendees) new players joining our football program," said Fitzgerald. "Last year our coaching staff signed the most talented freshmen class in SVU football history. Our staff has followed up last year’s class with this group of very talented players. If we can continue to bring in players of high character and high athletic ability each year, success is sure the follow.”

"This is a very talented group of young men that will carry on the development of the great Southern Virginia University tradition," continued Fitzgerald.
