Tayler Peterson Named Capital Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Southern Virginia University senior Tayler Peterson today was named the Capital Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, becoming the first pitcher in program history to earn the award.

Peterson threw a complete game shutout on Saturday against Wesley, allowing only four hits and striking out three batters in the win. It marked his fourth consecutive victory and fourth CAC win of the year. 

The senior has pitched lights out his past four starts, going for 31 innings pitched, 15 hits allowed, 18 strikeouts, and giving up only two earned runs. His 0.58 ERA in conference play is first in the CAC.
