Saturday's twinbill with Salisbury marks Senior Day for Knights Tyler King and Mitch Mantle, who will be honored between the two games.

Southern Virginia is looking to snap a recent six-game skid as it hosts No. 17 nationally ranked Salisbury University in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon. The Knights' most recent defeat came in a nonconference matchup with Eastern Mennonite University which saw the Royals take a 9-5 victory.

Freshman catcher Ryan Gabriel leads the Knight hitting attack, posting a .337 batting average on the year to go along with 15 RBI and two home runs. The Knight pitching staff is posting a 6.33 ERA and holding opponents to a .329 batting average on the year.

About the Sea Gulls

The 17th-ranked Sea Gulls enter this contest having won four of their last five, with their most recent victory coming over Marymount University. Salisbury is currently third in CAC standings, one game behind Christopher Newport.

Junior Kyle Hayman leads all Sea Gull hitters with a .408 batting average, going 49-120 on the year with 23 RBI and one homerun. The Salisbury pitching staff is posting an impressive 2.85 ERA and holding opponents to a .240 average.
