Baseball And Softball Recieve #3 Seeds At National Tournament

BUENA VISTA, Va. Both the Southern Virginia Baseball and Softball teams have received bids to the USCAA National Tournament, and have received #3 seeds heading to the tournament.

This is the first time in SVU athletic history that both teams have attended with such high seeds. The softball team will be looking to finish off one of the best seasons in program history. The team has been ranked near the top of the USCAA all season, and will be looking to improve on a fifth place finish at last year's tournament. The tournament for the softball team will take place in Akron, OH. The Knights will take on St. Joseph's of New York in their first round game with a time to be determined soon. The baseball team will be making its first trip to the national tournament since 2005. The #3 seed for the Knights earns them a game against University of Cincinnati at Clermont. The tournament will take place at Old Orchard Beach, ME. The Knights baseball team will also be looking to finish out one of the best seasons in program history. Under first year head coach Logan Mann, the team has won the most games in program history, and is poised to do well at the tournament.
