Directions to Athletic Venues

Following are directions to the venues at which Southern Virginia athletic teams compete.

Knight Arena (Basketball, Volleyball and Wrestling)

From I-81, take exit 188A onto US-60 toward Buena Vista
Go 3.5 miles to second stop light (at Hardee's)
Turn right onto US-501
Turn left at first stop light
Take first left and drive up the hill toward campus
Take first left at Von Cannon Library and continue, passing Robey Hall on your right
Knight Arena will be on your right
Teams may park behind the arena

Parry McCluer High School (Football)

From I-81, take exit 188A onto US-60 toward Buena Vista
Go 3.5 miles to second stop light (at Hardee's)
Turn right onto US-501
Follow signs to stay on US-501 South
Follow US-501 South through town and turn left on third street
At the end of third street, turn right onto Hazel
Take the first left and drive up the hill to the high school
The football field is behind the high school, on the right

Laurel Park (Softball)

From I-81, take exit 188A onto US-60 toward Buena Vista
Go 3.5 miles to second stop light (at Hardee's)
Turn right onto US-501
Follow signs to stay on 501 South
Turn left on 21st Street and follow it until you reach Laurel Park

The Fields (Soccer, Lacrosse)

From I-81, take exit 188A onto US-60 toward Buena Vista
Go 4.1 miles
Turn right onto Ridge Road
Go fifty feet and turn left onto umarked gravel road
Follow road for 0.2 miles and the field will be on your left

Amherst County High School from SVU (Football)

Head east on US-60/E 29th Street
Follow US-60 for 25.7 miles
Enter the roundabout and take 1st exit onto US-29 BR/S Main Street - 1.6 miles
Turn left onto Lancer Lane
