Watch Knights Play On the Internet

BUENA VISTA, Va. - The Southern Virginia University athletic department will make history Dec. 8, when it broadcasts the men's and women's basketball games through the internet. In partnership with the IT department of the university, SVU is intending to show the games for fans to watch on the internet site. The first time event will be free for viewers with the intent to charge a viewing fee in the future.

The women will open up the night with a game against Virginia Intermont at 5:00 pm, and will hope to get on a winning streak after they came back from 18-points down in the second half to beat Salisbury on Dec. 3. The men will look to increase a four game winning streak that has seen them jump above .500 for the first time this season, and includes a win at the Salisbury Optimist Classic, which saw junior guard, Spenser Briggs, named tournament MVP.

With success in broadcasting the games, it is hoped that a multitude of sporting events will be broadcast for SVU fans. To gain access to the broadcast click here.
