Ryan Foster enters his second year as the Director of Strength and Conditioning, Rice Fitness Center manager and personal trainer at Southern Virginia University.
He is certified by the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers, has a strength and conditioning training certificate and is currently working on his National Strength and Conditioning Association certification to become a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Foster earned an associate's degree in General Studies in 2010 from Laramie County Community College and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Virginia in 2013.
He had a standout career for Southern Virginia's men’s soccer team, helping the Knights to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2002-03.
Following a superb senior season as co-captain in 2012, Foster was named to the USCAA All-America First Team as a midfielder. During his junior year, Foster earned 2011 USCAA All-Academic honors.
He served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico.
Foster and his wife, Kellsi, live in Buena Vista with their two daughters.
