Southern Virginia University

Ashlea Fowler has been the head cheerleading coach at Southern Virginia University since 2011.

As a student at Southern Virginia, Fowler was a four-year member of the Knights cheerleading squad, cheering for football, as well as men’s and women’s basketball. Fowler, a native of Tazewell, Va., was selected to cheer at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla. during her junior year of high school. 

Fowler has a B.A. in liberal arts from Southern Virginia and is currently pursuing a master's degree in education from Mary Baldwin University. She is also a licensed fitness instructor for Zumba®, Aqua Zumba® and Zumba® Toning courses.

Fowler resides in Buena Vista, Va.
