Scott Y. Doxey is the athletic director, as well as vice president of operations and student services at Southern Virginia University.
Doxey brings more than 20 years of business and leadership experience to Southern Virginia and holds an M.S. in business information systems and education and a B.A. in administrative systems from Utah State University.
Before coming to Southern Virginia University he was vice president of academic affairs and operations for Neumont University in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was instrumental in establishing procedures in the start-up school including integrating computer systems to help streamline processes. He helped lead Neumont through accreditation and regulatory processes.
He also has provided technical consulting with companies in the U.S. and South America. He was co-owner of a computer training franchise, Productivity Point International, in Salt Lake City and Seattle and eventually sold the company.
